Good bye, faithful Grand Prix...

Off with the old, on with the new. We are now your typical middle class young family with a mini van. Oh well, it was bound to happen. I am excited about more space and whatnot.

Christmas pictures

K, I need a little advice on which picture to use for our Christmas pictures. I think River looks happier :) in the bottom picture, but I like the brick wall in the top one. And I know that they are very similar so it probably doesn't really matter. But I still need to eliminate one. I think I'm going to cry uncle on taking any more pictures since both Jeremy and River were equally terrible about getting pictures done. Sigh.

Well I tried to upload this video of River playing with his blocks and his little quirk about having to have the colored side of them facing up but alas, it was taking a decade to load so I gave the internet a break.
Not much going on here that's new and exciting. Saw sales are slow. River is taking his nap. I'm working on shutterfly stuff. Things like that.
So I guess I'll get back to my super thrilling life. :) Although I am going to pick up Jen tonight at the airport with Wendy which should be fun.

Latest Reader's Digest Quotable Quotes

At last! Another person who sees the evils of balloons as I do:
"Many terrible things begin with B: bears, blindness, boilers, bats, bridges, and brain tumors. But no one brings any of those to a party to up the fun quotient. When I look at a balloon, all I see is an imminent explosion. Where's the fun in that?"
Roz Chast, What I Hate from A to Z

Another Winston Churchill gem:
When Lady Astor became annoyed with a soused Winston Churchill, she blurted out, "Winston, if you were my husband, I'd put poison in your coffee." Churchill replied, "If you were my wife, I'd drink it."

Oscar Wilde:
sarcasm: the lowest form of wit, but the highest form of intelligence.

That is US!

Alan Jackson - Remember When

This song made me cry the first time I heard it. It's such a touching summary of life. Maybe it's because I heard that line about the sound of little feet and I was missing River. :) And then at the end when he says that we won't be sad, we'll be glad for all the life we've had, I couldn't agree more.
Good grief, I'm ready to cry again.

OK, Lisa, I'm updating just for you...River is still sleeping right now. I think I'm going to have to change his nap schedule since he's not settling down very well at night and is waking up 1 to 2 times. He goes back to sleep but I can't always. Which is annoying.
Anyhoo just posting a few pictures so you can see what he's up to. He crawled into that drawer by himself and was having a grand old time with all his dishes. As for the bottom picture, here's to another generation of Archie comic readers!
